The largest-ever international Supercross and off-road motorcycling event to hit New Zealand, the Monster Energy S-X Open Auckland is returning to Mt Smart Stadium on November 16 and promises to be even bigger!

The Monster Energy S-X Open Auckland doubles as the fourth round of the Australian Supercross Championship, and the first round of the FIM Oceania Supercross Championship – the most prestigious Supercross Championship, outside of the USA.


The largest attended off-road motorcycle event on record in New Zealand with over 22,500 attendees in 2018 at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium, fans were left captivated by ‘the 20/20 of motorsports’ due to its short, exciting and energetic racing. Famed for its non-stop entertainment, suitable to audiences of all ages, the anticipation for this year’s S-X Open Auckland event will be elevated to new heights, with just the one chance, to see the best Supercross riders in the world go head-to-head with the very best from New Zealand, Australia and all over the world.


There’ll be plenty of giveaways, autograph signings, live music, activations, demonstrations the free opportunity to learn to ride a motorbike in the Yamaha blU crU activation, and much much more in the Monster Energy Pit Party, fee to all ticket holders and kicking off at 2:30pm!


For the first and last time in New Zealand ever, Levi Sherwood will battle for glory in the Best-Trick Freestyle Motocross competition.

See New Zealand’s own Freestyle Motocross legend and X Games Gold Medialist Levi Sherwood, go head to head with aussie favourites Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams, Harry Bink, Cam Sinclair and more, for Best Trick Gold Medal.


This year in the Monster Energy Pit Party outside Mt Smart Stadium, the Yamaha Learn to ride activation will give your young ones the opportunity to try out the all-new Yamaha PW50 and TTR-50 dirt bikes while being supervised by professionals and getting life long tips on how to ride safely. FREE to all ticket holders 12 years of age and under.

Due to the high risk of Ticket scalping and illegitimate websites or ticket outlets selling tickets for higher prices in the market place, Ticketmaster has placed a hold and Official Tickets Suppression on the distribution, printing/mailing and further access of legitimate and official tickets to the event until closer to October 16th, 2019.

During this time, the Ticket Purchase Details and Receipt of Purchase/Transaction are to be used for proof of purchase, until  October when Tickets will be able to be printed/mailed/distributed with a much lower risk of scalping or duplication.

No, only bags smaller than 350mm x 300mm x 400mm will be permitted into the Stadium but must be able to fit under the patron’s seat safely and without impeding access. Management reserves the right to inspect any bag and/or articles of clothing to ensure no prohibited items are being taken inside the Stadium, for further details see link below:

Children under three (3) years of age do get in for free, granted they sit on the same seat as their parent and NOT in the aisle (no additional seating will be provided).

Yes, provided they have a valid Ultimate VIP East Lounge or Open Air Booth ticket, Under 18’s will be allowed in these areas. Under 18’s will be entitled to food and non-alcoholic drinks, but due to all of the inclusions, there will not be any per ticket discounts applied.

Virgin Australia are providing 10% of all bookings for flights to and from Auckland for the S-X Open, provided fans book via the Virgin Australia portal on www.sxopen.com

Child Ticket discounts (3 – 12 Years of Age) apply only to Gold and Silver Sections saving $10.00 per Child Ticket purchased. Further savings can be made for Gold Family Tickets inclusive of 2 Adult and 2 Child ticket holders only, saving a family 15%. No other discounts can be applied to other ticket categories due to their inclusions.

Yes, early access for Ultimate VIP East Lounge and VIP ticket holders begins at 3:00 pm for ticket holders to access their seating and collect their individual bags respectively. On-Track activity will commence approximately 30 minutes after entry commences. More details will be sent to Ultimate VIP East Lounge and VIP ticket holders regarding scheduling closer to the event.

The Ultimate VIP ticket package includes selected international riders doing Q & A’s and spending time with guests within the Ultimate VIP lounge prior to racing commencing, although it cannot be guaranteed each ticket holder will ‘meet’ the riders. There will be a fantastic atmosphere and ability to watch FMX Practice and Supercross Qualifying from the best seats in the house on Level 2 and early access to the Ultimate VIP lounge which will ensure a fantastic S-X Open experience.
The rider line-up for the 2019 Monster Energy S-X Open Auckland will be the largest in the S-X Open’s history, with current Top Ten in the World and World Champion(s) international Supercross rider announcements taking place during the pre-sale and on-sale period in June. The S-X Open will also be the fourth round of the 2019 Australian Supercross Championships, which include the best Supercross riders from around Australia and New Zealand across multiple categories. This year the Monster Energy S-X Open will only be held in Auckland, New Zealand, at Mt Smart Stadium on November 16 and the Monster Energy AUS-X Open will only be held in Melbourne, Australia, at Marvel Stadium on November 30.


New Zealand’s premier outdoor concert and festival venue, Mt Smart Stadium hosts some of the world’s best entertainment acts.

 For the second year in a row, the S-X Open crew will transform Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium, into a Supercross battlefield. More than 6,000 tonnes of dirt will be trucked into the venue creating one of the most extreme tracks NZ has ever seen as Auckland plays host to opening round of the Monster Energy S-X Open Supercross FIM Oceania Championship.

As well as the main arena, Mt Smart features an international standard athletics facility, multi-purpose function spaces and a range of community-focused facilities catering for more than 500,000 visitors a year.
